How many edited images come out of a dance photo shoot?
The number of edited images from a photo shoot depends on the type of shoot and its duration. The dancer's skill, clothing changes and, since we work on (outdoor) location, light and weather conditions also affect the output. This is a substantial difference from studio work in which controlled (lighting) conditions are used.
In a ballet photo shoot, it comes down to capturing the right movement or pose at the right moment. Many photos are taken but we are very selective in choosing them so that they best show the dancer's talent and years of training. In general, you can expect about 5 to 10 post-processed photos from a two-hour ballet photo shoot.
